Football Championship 2024

Please mark your calendars for Saturday 15th June, 2024 because that day all registered Covetrus teams will challenge each other in small-sided football in Brno, Czech Republic. We are expecting a battle between 10 teams from different parts of Europe! So who will be the very first winner of the Covetrus FootballChampionship?

Transport to Brno

Since Brno is the second biggest city of the Czech Republic, do not worry, it is comfortably accessible by several means of transport. AirplaneThe nearest airport is located directly in Brno, the other close ones are located in Prague, Vienna and Bratislava, where you can easily take another transport to Brno. We do recommend choosing the bus or train. For better guaidance distance between the individual cities and Brno is:

Transport while staying in Brno

In Brno, you can use the public transport. You can check the schedule at idos.idnes.

You can also use the taxi service City Taxi that will transport you around Brno for these prices 36 CZK/km in Brno city or 30 CZK/km out of Brno city. In order to use the taxi please call the number +420 14004 or +420 777 014 004. If you prefer you can also download a mobile app.

After the order, you will receive a confirmation text message with the ID number of the car and an approximate time of arrival.

Accommodation while staying in Brno

Hotel Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum ****

Accommodation is pre-reserved at the Cosmopolitan Bobycentrum Hotel. The total reserved capacity of the hotels should be sufficient for the accommodation of all the registered teams. The captains of teams are responsible for securing room reservations for players and possible accompaniment of fans. We ask the captains to share with us the final number of players and fans no later 29 th February. If capacity changes occur after this date, we can not guarantee sufficient capacity.

The hotel is located approximately 20 minutes (10 kilometres) from the football field where the championship will take place on Saturday. We will make sure to provide transportation from the hotel to location of tournament (and back) to all registered teams.

The accomodation includes breakfast, which is served in buffet style. So you can choose your ideal breakfast according to your preferences.

Single room: 1 900 CZK/77 EUR
Double room: 2 000 CZK/81 EUR
Triple room: 2 900 CZK/118 EUR
Two-bedroom apartment: 3 500 CZK/142 EUR

Location of Covetrus Football Championship

The first Covetrus Football Championship will take place at the TC Brněnské Ivanovice, which is a modern football center run by Starez - Sport a.s. For the championship, we will be using two outdoor small-sided football fields. Therefore, two matches can take place at the same time. The facility offers dressing rooms and showers. Only football boots with molded cleats are allowed. Please do not use football boots with detachable studs. No food or drinks are allowed on the artificial turf.

Schedule of Covetrus Football Championship Transportation from the hotel (and back) will be provided to all championship participants.During the whole championship, registered players will be able to refresh themselves with food and non-alcoholic drinks on the field.

Afterparty

After the championship and refreshments at the hotel, you will enjoy the player's night in Brno in sport bar Tusto! All players will be picked-up from their hotel by bus at 6:40 PM During the evening, you will be provided with food, wine, soft drinks, and of course traditional Czech beer Pilsner!
Transportation back to the hotel is ogranized for two slots: 12:00 AM (midnight) and 2 AM.

Tournament Rules

The minimum Team size is 5 + 1 (5 players + 1 goalkeeper), however we do recommend having at minimum 3 players on the bench for the rotation but no more than 5 extra players (in total max 10 + 1 goalkeeper).
Our main values of the championship are: Fair Play, Team Spirit, Support, Networking & Fun.
